We saw 10 sales of Whistler Property for the week ending May 2, 2010 including 2 sales over $2,000,000. The biggest of the sale of the week was 6282 Par Road a 4 bed/5 bath in Whistler Cay Heights for $2,499,000. The next biggest sale for the week was 8-4700 Glacier Drive a 4 bed/4.5 townhouse for $2,100,000 in the Pinnacle Ridge complex slopeside to Whistler/Blackcomb Mountain. This gave us 13 sales in Whistler over $2,000,000 since January 1, 2010.
Our next biggest sale was a 4bed/3.5 bath townhouse at 34-7124 Nancy Greene Drive in the newly built Fitzsimmons Walk complex for $1,690,000 million. We then saw 3 sales between $999,000 and $754,000. Starting with a 3bed/2 bath chalet at 8278 Alpine Way in Alpine Meadows neighborhood for $999,000. The next two sales both took place in the Whistler neighborhood of Nordic. A 3 bed/2.5 bath at 9-2641 Nordic Road in Powderwood complex sold for $810,000 and 2229 Aspen Drive a renovated 3bed/3bath unit in a triplex sold for $754,000.
The remaining 3 sales for the week were all townhouses 12 Alta Lake Resort a 2 bedroom/2 bath adjacent to Alta Lake for $450,000, followed by a 2bed/1bath at 7 Holzern Haus for $340,000 and the last sale was #10 in Alpine Villas a old time complex for $242,400 for a 1 bedroom/1.5 bathroom townhouse. Judging from the buzz from local Whistler Realtors it does seem like the Whistler real estate market is starting to gain some momentum. Buyers who have been following the market waiting for the right time to buy, might be wise to start thinking about intensifying their search. Sellers who are priced wisely are seeing their properties sell faster.
