What a difference a week makes! We saw 12 sales of Whistler Property for the week ending August 15, 2010. This was the highest number of sales for a week in 2010. Historically August has been one of the busier months for sales of Whistler Real Estate. This is a positive sign and if we see this trend continuing it will indicate that we're following normal August sales trends after a slow start.
Our largest sale of the week was also our 8th sale this year over $3,000,000. 3311 Lakeside Road a 5bed/4.5 bath house on Alta Lake in Alta Vista sold for $4,600,000. Our next sale was 1-3554 Falcon Crescent in Blueberry Hill a 4bed/3.5 bath townhouse for $1,200,000. Our last sale over the million mark for the week was 2761 Coyote Place in Bayshore a 4bed/2.5bath house with a 2 bed suite for $1,249,000.
8476 Matterhorn in Alpine Meadows a 4.5bed/3bath house sold for $834,000. Interestingly the house had sold September 18, 2008 for $750,000. A rare quick flip given the current market conditions.
We then saw 2bed/2bath suite 358 Aspens on the slopes of Blackcomb sell for $715,000. Next up was 7-2100 Eva Lake Road in Lupin Rock in Nordic a 3bed/2bath townhouse sold for $626,500. This was a rare sale as the complex does not come on the market very often and the first in 10 years. This was followed by 8223 Rainbow Drive in Alpine Meadows a 2bed/1bath older A-frame house for $600,000. Our last sale over the half million mark was 422-4314 Main Street in Town Plaza a 2bed/2bath condo for $551,000.
Our final 4 sales were 427 Lost Lake Lodge at $379,000 a 1bed/1bath, 316 Cascade Lodge at 1bed/1bath for $175,000, 217 Blackcomb Lodge a 1.5 bed/1bath for $130,000 and lastly a studio suite 536 Blackcomb Springs for $118,000.
