Whistler Real Estate Saw Zero Properties Sold for the Sales for Week of March 30 to April 5, 2020.
Most property sales are negotiated and accepted with subject conditions for things such as financing, building inspection, and reviewing strata minutes for the property. This is the time for the buyer to do their due diligence and generally takes 10 to 14 days, that's why an offer can be accepted but not firm for another 2 plus weeks. Seeing no property sales for the week of April 5, 2020, goes back to the start of the peak impacts on COVID-19 on Whistler around March 15 to 20, so it is not entirely surprising to see no sales. I expect the sales volume to remain lower in April with the reduction in buyer's abilities to feel comfortable traveling to Whistler to view properties and obviously the economic impacts of the virus.
We're not seeing many property listings coming on the market with only 5 new property listings hit the Whistler real estate market this week. Click here to view the new listings for the week and the total active Whistler listings dropped again this week to a total of 281. It appears that many sellers are taking a wait and see approach before making any decisions around listing their property for sale.
